With million of properly coded ED claims over more than a quarter-century we rarely encounter a coding issue with which we're not already familiar. Staffed by M.D.'s, CPCs and other similarly qualified individuals, every Marina coder is a professional member of the American Academy of Professional Coders ("AAPC").

In addition Marina maintains it's own full-time internal training program for emergency medicine so that even experienced coders who come to Marina from another billing company or hospital, can be brought up to Marina's internal standards.
Physician Documentation education is a priority for Marina's Coding Dept. managers. Using a proprietary compendium of Documentation Guidelines as well as actual patient charts, coding managers work with client physicians to pinpoint areas of potential documentation improvement so that coding can properly capture the actual acuity and procedures and services being provided.
