Marina continually invests in new computers, T1 broadband, Internet
access, scanning, fiber optics, remote access, web site development
and other technologies. Marina uses the latest enhanced models
of IBM’s highly respected i520 systems coupled with superior
software specifically written for large billing companies, including
custom features to enhance service for emergency medicine practices.
Marina also provides clients with secure, on-line, access
to their records making each groups’ billing reports and
progress as convenient as possible.
Disaster insurance
In the event of a natural disaster such
as a fire, flood or earthquake, Marina’s records
are completely backed-up by IBM’s Disaster
Recovery Program. We feel that no group of doctors
should be asked to risk the devastating effects
of losing all financial records. Under our arrangement
with IBM, Marina is provided with ‘hot site’
locations around the country where other i520 systems
with the requisite software are situated; together
with regular data backups and storage, this system
would enable Marina to continue to operate from
another city or State on behalf of our clients.
In addition, every PC is backed up every day, and
all billing records are backed up separately nightly
and stored off-site. |
