Marina Medical is committed above all else to
providing quality service to its clients. Marina’s
success in acquiring and retaining clients is
largely due to the personal service we provide
for our doctors. Each group’s Client Manager
is personally and readily accessible to his/her
clients to answer any questions that arise regarding
the billing and collection process.
Marina does not use a ‘call center’ because call
centers can’t offer the level of knowledge and service
we want. As a Marina client, your patients’ calls are
always received by knowledgeable Marina employees who are specifically
assigned to work on your hospital. Therefore they know the doctors,
the payers in the area, and the issues and they can provide
much better service to patients. Using sophisticated telephone
software by InterTel, Marina closely monitors patients’ calls
to insure service. In the most recent year Marina’s average
telephone response time was just 22 seconds, and the average
patient call lasted 2 mins 37 seconds.
In fact, our employees add significantly to the value our
doctors enjoy as Marina clients. Read more about Marina’s
dedication to Value »
Marina also provides secure, on-line access to clients’ monthly
reports. Once your group has moved to Marina, your billing and
payment summaries will be available to check when it fits into
your schedule. With convenient access to billing information,
our doctors have more time to spend providing quality health
care to their patients, and need less time dedicated to billing
concerns.
Coding
Marina is well-recognized for its outstanding
Coding Dept. All coding is done ‘in house’
by our team of more than 30 full-time employee
coders, including four MDs, RNs, and CPCs (Certified
Professional Coders). Every Marina coder is a
member of the American Academy of Professional
Coders. Regardless of their background when they
come to Marina, each has to complete Marina’s
rigorous coding training program. Quality control
is assured by audits of coded charts, ongoing
training and case study discussions, departmental
meetings, and attendance at industry conferences.
